Depilex Reveal 2017: Color Looks Part I
On the completion of our 37th successful year as the first and largest chain of salons in Pakistan, we at Depilex decided to bring the nation something new and eccentric. This is where the idea of Depilex Reveal 2017 came to life; we felt that at 37 years it was essential for the entire Depilex family to come together and show the world exactly what game we’ve got, and trust me we’ve got plenty! Depilex Reveal was created to showcase the Depilex collection in Hair Colour, Bridal Hair and Makeup, Groom Hair and Makeup, avant garde hair and makeup and lastly mens hair styling and colour.
The first segment of the show was womens hair colour and our mood board for it followed the international trend of statement vibrancy as we showcased an array of hues ranging from icey metallic’s to deep warmer tones. In order to mix contemporary with modern, we used minimalism and simplicity with a play on colour. We wanted to show our audience that colour can be used in depth and can also be tailored to your client’s practical look by lessening and creating custom sections to place color.
With a darker tone brown shadow root mixed into a Cool tone ash Balayage to brighten up her ends, this look is our take on a very popular look. It was styled in bouncy curls enhanced with a gold pigment spray.
For this look we did Blonde highlights with a darker base shadow root, styled with a scalp braid in a radial design with faux hawk details. This allowed the blonde highlights to be free flowing to demonstrate dimension, with beach waves created with Sea Salt Spray and pomade.
An all over chocolate color was done on Zaris hair with chunks of striking red placed that were peeking through the styling. The intense red hair color in combination with the rich brown was styled sleek straight using smoothing serum.
Hyra had an all over bright, fiery copper color that was vivid and intense, styled with a top infinity braid coupled with expanded, textured curls that were kept in place using extra strength hair spray.
For Warda’s hair we went for dark shadow roots and mixed them with all over color showcasing warm mahogany blended into violet/purple undertones. The style that brought the color look to life included bouncy curls for volume with shine spray to enhance the shades.
The makeup for this segment was created with a high gloss foundation, brushed out brows and tight lined lids. With just the right makeup and styling, these were the first 5 colour looks from Depilex Reveal 2017. Stay tuned for a second round as we look at the rest of our colour looks in the next blog!
