Golden Globes Galore – Top Looks from the Event
Rise and shine ladies!
So, one of the most anticipated evenings, the glorious Golden Globes ’17 were held at Beverly Hills, California. Where the highlight of the night was the iconic speech made by the one and only, Meryl Streep (if you know about it already, great! If not, then you need to watch it, like, right NOW), there were some other things that made quite some heads turn.
Just like any other larger-than-life events of the Hollywood, Golden Globe Awards are regarded as one of the most prestigious talent-rewarding celebrations. For a night as big as this, everyone tends to get excited and celebrities are no exception. I mean, you know the toil; you need to bring your A game on as all eyes are on you! For every celeb, the challenge is to raise the bar of Red Carpet looks they have rocked over the years. So the struggle is real. But there are some names that never fail to impress you. Be it their stunning outfit, or incredible style, they tend to steal the night. Here are some of my fav celebs who put their best foot forward at the 74th Golden Globes:
Guess what, our Desi girl not only knows how to nail an eastern look but also seems to master the art of killer red carpet looks. She stunned in shimmery golden gown with her signature tan and sleek, center-parted hair. Her custom berry lips were the cherry on top and everyone couldn’t help but gasp for her perfect looks.
Bringing ‘60s back? Hell yeah. Jones chose to wear pale, tea-pink outfit with an elegant bun. The long bangs spread softly around her face which added on to the grace. The silver highlighter at the inner tips of her eyes with rosy lips was just right to give her an ethereal, angelic looks.
The Golden Globe winner Michelle Williams shows us how to stay classy while keeping things simple. A little mascara, some lip gloss and flushed cheeks – this no-makeup look proved that less is indeed, more. In addition, her platinum pixie was cute enough to compliment her whole look.
She is gorgeous. Hands down. This stunner pulled off a rosewood pink gown by the internationally-acclaimed Zuhair Murad with utmost grace. Her braided updo channeled her inner beauty really well and the matte maroonish red lips elevated the looks to new levels of sexiness. In my opinion, she totally owned the event!
John Legend’s darling, the model and the mummy, Chrissy Teigen wore a soft, floaty dress with gelled-back hairdo. The crimson lips took her look up a notch and she stole some hearts with her infectious smile.
The actress made a hot entry by flaunting her new short hair. A gold yellow slit gown with that glittery silver neckpiece which hung down like a tie, gave her a bold yet chic look. To keep things nice and simple, she went with monochromatic lips and eyes. A red carpet winner, I must say.
The hottie took inspiration from her fantastic new release, La La Land, and donned a custom-made Valentino gown. Metallic silver embellishments beautified her stunning ensemble and she perfected the look with the signature diamond necklace.
The ever-beautiful Kerry pulled out quite some stops by trailing in a breathtaking black & golden gown by the legendary fashion-house, Dolce & Gabbana. For bold lips, she opted for a deep purple or rather opaque eggplant pout. Side-parted sleek hair over the shoulder aptly got her the attention and admiration.
Miss Witherspoon opted for a rather softer hue of yellow perfectly made into a high-slit strapless gown. This classic Hollywood look was amplified by a gorgeous neckpiece and Louboutin heels. A bun with side flared hair and minimal makeup were the highlight as she posed with utmost poise and sophistication.
This cutie turned up the heat in her hot, red off-shoulder gown. Along with her beautiful ensemble, her looks featured soft curls and a glamorous red pout – a guaranteed red carpet. The result? Drop.Red.Gorgeous.
The famous model chose to go bold with a splendid floral ball gown by the maestro, Zuhair Murad. A dramatic braided updo along with smoky eye and matte brown lips accentuated the whole look. A job well done, indeed.
