10 Questions With Redah
Happy Monday Ladies! Can’t believe so much of Ramzan has already passed and thank heavens for the
pleasant weather we’ve been having, it’s definitely been a blessing from God. Hope you all have been
having a peaceful Ramzan and are looking forward to the Eid festivities. Since June is almost over, which
is such a surprise because just yesterday 2015 started, it’s time for my end of the month, 10 questions!
Sometimes this one’s a pickle because most of you guys usually want to know some of the very basic
things that we all go through, literally all the time. So I decided to put together some of the most
important and basic 10 questions I get asked regularly.
1. How do I stop hair fall?
There are several great, natural ways to stop excessive hair fall and sometimes it is necessary to
determine why it’s happening. If you seem alarmed, definitely talk to your general physician
about it too. Regular oiling and light massaging of the scalp helps increase blood circulation and
prevent hair fall by keeping the hair well hydrated and providing strength. You could also try
eating foods or taking supplements/vitamins to curb hair loss. Some important ones are Vitamin
A, Vitamin E, Omega 3’s & Biotin. Sometimes even running green tea through it helps! Or you
could try the good ole Aloe Vera remedy since Aloe Vera oil promotes growth too.
2. What can I do about my pimples?
Pimples are a nuisance we all have to bear and there’s a common misconception that these are
only a problem during the teenage years. Due to pollution, our lifestyles, eating habbits and
products we use daily, the chances of break outs are higher. One great thing to try is pure lemon
juice, dabbing some lemon juice over a pimple overnight is a tried and tested tip. You could even
use natural tomato juice as an astringent. There are some great face washes to try as well to
prevent breakouts, my favorite is Guinots Soft Cleansing Face Wash along with Oxygenating
cream to moisturize.
3. Can you tell me how to get rid of black heads and open pores?
A quick easy cure for open pores is lemon juice and rose water which act as a cleanser to clean
out and a astringent to tighten those pore- so dab the micture over your face with cotton. Apply
it 3-4 times over the week and watch it do wonders.
4. What are some of the best anti-aging creams?
Guinot has an amazing anti aging range especially their neck and eye cream is something I
don’t sleep applying without or Oil Of Olay has some great anti-aging creams. Olay’s Touch of
Sunshine works really great.
5. I have oily dandruff, but dry hair. What can I do?
Here’s a tricky one but you could try this:
2 Tbsp Warm Water
4 Tbsp pure vinegar
Stir well and massage paying special attention to scalp. The trick is to oxygenate your scalp so I
sometimes rinse my hair with cool green and it does the trick on those off days.
6. What is a remedy for skin pigmentation?
Exfoliate once a week with a product like exfoliating cleanser by Murad and don’t leave the house
without using sunblock between SPF 15 to 30. A natural remedy I always turn to is lemon and cucumber
rub, Almond oil and Milk rub, and sometimes applying cocoa butter can help too.
7. How do I get rid of wrinkles around my eyes and lips?
Get to the root of the problem:
– Follow a healthy balances diet that promotes skin tightening and skin cell rejuvenation. So
– Start an eye treatment like Dermalogica Total Eye Care and Dermalogica Lip Renewal
– Add beans, dark green vegetables and soy products to your diet as they promote collagen
food enriched with vitamin A, E and omega 3 and 6 are winners!
Complex production. Collagen is what makes your skin looking plump and firm
8. What is a remedy for rough hair?
Oiling is a great remedy for rough hair, but you might have to figure out what suits you best. I
recommend Coconut Oil, Argan oil, Tea tree oil, Shea butter & the good ol’ Amla. Another thing
that I swear by is Henna wax, it’s a deep conditioner with numerous benefits.
9. I have a lot of facial hair, what can I do?
If you’re struggling with facial hair, before we can figure out what to do with it I suggest you see
someone about hormonal imbalance. If you’re taking the right precautions health wise, to avoid
the pain of waxing or threading (though better advised) you could try giving Laser therapy or
electrolysis a shot!
10. What can we do for brittle nails?
Apply an olive oil and lemon juice mixture a couple of times a week. Tea tree oil and Vitamin E
help strengthen our nails. And sometimes even simply applying lemon juice can help. If you’re
looking for nail strengtheners, Sally Hansen and OPI have some great nail strengthening
solutions.
